Indian Lake

A sort of traditional tent... couldn't quite leave behind the outwell polycotton, so when the sales came another purchase...this time the Outwell Indian Lake(also known as a marmite tent, most people think it's vile)

The 'hat' and number of guy lines (and for some reason the straps cross under the ground sheet which is a pain) make it a lot more fiddly than the bells, but for warmth it keeps the heat in well (if you tape down the massive vents in the windows)

First trip was local to Marton Farm, just to try it out (November so weather was a bit nippy). Must admit site wasn't much, but was good for a practice pitch

Front porch is very useful and can be zipped up at night

My neighbours

Was a cold night...

Next trip for the IL was Nantcol (my favourite site!) in Wales. As it was March and had just opened, I had the luxury of being the only person there

Realised the inner could be rolled to half size - good for retaining the heat at night

Solitude! bliss

Mine all mine!

Wet dogs in March..great

A visit to shell island. Perfect in March but not so perfect once it fills up

Will be dragging it out over the winter again...not sure where yet (work keeps interfering with my camping plans)

Well the Indian Lake has been sold on now. Lovely tent but a bit of a bggr to pitch solo

A winter camp, lovely weather apart from Hurricane Ophelia...
