Best of the rest

A few more random tents in my collection (haven't got enough links to match the number of tents)

Harry Hemp

My contribution to the environment. Haven't actually slept in this one yet, but he is getting his first trip next week on the 'SLT Meet' (sh*t little tent meet, so not allowed huge bell)

Pitched in the garden

Not a bad space inside

May be my project this afternoon, he might get attacked with the dylon paints, as he resembles a brown paper package at the moment

**UPDATED**!

Makeover complete, Harry had a paint job

Harry Hemp went to pastures new, and is sold on now :)

Golite Shangri-La 5

As I am a seasoned backpacker as well (I went once). I forked out quite a bit to get a lightweight tent I could stand up in after a hard days slog. This ticked all the boxes and so far has proved perfect

Trip was monmouth to symonds yat (about 300 miles i reckon). Took Barley along as she is the fittest of the 2 dogs (Homer has crap leg joints)

Night before the hike, still had a car at this stage (I didn't carry a folding bench)

Visiting Tintern Station

Views on the wye valley walk

The dogs hated Biblins bridge

Lastly (at the moment) the Cabanon Barbados

Another winter tent - it went through some horrific winds at Hopleys last November and came out unscathed - have a lot of confidence in this tent

Nice pitch and views and of course campfires. Booked for sept and nov this year as well

Local camping in the Barbados - first pitch

His bum

Few pics of the ebay Latitude

Quite like this tent, only fault is a seperate ground sheet, I do like my SIGS & ZIGS

£10 'Guinea Shite' tent off ebay

Debating a paint job or all over dye on this one...

This finally got a poppy paint job and was sold on !

£30 Marechal bought over the winter 2011 - another ebay mad moment

Not the best pitch, it

was starting to rain!

Ticino - Tortuga Ridge Tent

A purchase for the winter. The idea being the fly sheet would be good in snow (yep, foolishly have intentions to camp in snow. Not Edmund Hilary style though, with a couple of fan heaters and EHU)

Loved the lines of this tent, throw in some cream canvas and I was hooked. Ordered it with 2 porches but they never arrived for a few weeks.

First trip was the day after boxing day. Having had a house full for over a week I was going stir crazy so ran away to Bosworth Water Park as it was local

Homer dropped subtle hints it was time to go camping...

Arrived at the site...no one was there...water pipes and loos were frozen...spoke to someone who knew the owner - they phoned him and he said yep pitch anywhere, he'd try and pop down some time (he didn't for 3 days)

Pitched and cosy...

All the trees were Homers

snow cleared the next morning

a bit bleak...

Need to get this one pitched again and have another play with the porches this winter

CRAFTY POST - My revolting conservatory-camping-store-room, really needed a makeover....

Finished!  So I get asked, where do I store all my camping kit? The answer is everywhere...attic...shed...trailor....cam...
